Don introduced the group to a very enjoyable and varied range of traditional and eclectic craft ales (no lagers thankfully!), being offered by some of Canterbury’s local pubs and breweries. Interspersed with this as we walked between venues, he gave us various bits of information associated with Canterbury. Good beer, good facts and getting your steps in, what’s not to like!

I’ve learnt more about the history of Canterbury in 20 minutes, than I’ve learnt in 20 years of living here.

I loved the TrAle, I thought it was a great afternoon, your knowledge of the area and the beers was amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyable – would do it again! Lovely beers and sandwiches. Interesting Canterbury history.

This will quench not just your thirst for knowledge. Tastes a lot better than your usual guided tour. Don’s brewed up a unique look at local history.
